Bart was the first foal out of our much loved mare
Doodle. The aim was to breed a versatile horse that would be able to do
a variety of disciplines. We also felt that you can invest a lot of
time and money in competing so we wanted to have the option of doing a
variety of classes at County and National Shows.
After looking at many stallions throughout Wales we
decided to put Doodle to the Pure Bred Arab Stallion 'Ali Nebal' . The
following April produced a bay colt 'Doodleba'.
Mother
and son went on to do better than we ever imagined. The high point
being when Bart was crowned Junior Male Champion at the 'Welsh Pony
& Cob Society Centenary Show', which was a big achievement for a
foal.

Bart has since gone on to win at County and National
Level Shows as a Part Bred Arab, Part Bred Welsh, Show Hunter Pony,
Hack and Riding Horse Youngstock & Stallion Classes. On his first
outing as a ridden horse he was champion ridden Welsh Part Bred and was
awarded the WP&CS performance medal.
Bart
has an amazing temperament and is so easy to handle you wouldn't know
he is a stallion. He has been bought up as a gelding and lives and
travels between mares with whom he has full nose and head contact.
He
is also turned out daily in a field next to geldings and can often see
mares across the paddock. He did have a Section A as a field companion
but we were getting concerned that the Section A kept on beating Bart
up, (not good for his image).
