LENNY has been sold to Mrs. Sue Williamson of ESKSIDE PONY STUD, By Forfar, Scotland. Mrs Williamson is a well respected judge and is on the panel for the NPS and Ponies UK. She judged LENNY'S farther, BART a few years ago and put him champion SHP. LENNY has been initially purchased to be the resident stallion for ESKSIDE PONY STUD, but due to unforeseen circumstances he has been gelded (through no fault of his). After numerous wins & champions on winning Supreme Champion at Echt Show as a 2yo, I believe Mrs Williamson has been approached to see if Lenny was available for sale, a price was agreed and Lenny now has a new home. I believe he is going to a top producer to be bought out under saddle as a 4yo. We would love to hear form his new owner to see how LENNY is doing. We would like to wish LENNY the best of luck for the
future and hopefully will be able to keep you up-to-date with his
progress. "Sue Williamson’s dark brown gelding Blaenllain DB’s Dark Shadow, the part-bred youngstock champion, was reserve. He was bred at Lampeter and bought at Fayre Oaks last year as a yearling colt, having been champion at Ceredigion WP&C Welsh partbred points. Dark Shadow is by the Welsh part-bred and Arab partbred Blaenllain Doodleba (GBR) by Ali Nebal." Press and
Journal 12 July 2010 The horse supreme at Echt from Sue Williamson was Blaenllain DB's Dark Shadow, a two-year-old gelding by Blaenllain Doodleba and out of Blaenllain Zeta's Dream. He led the Arab, Anglo- Arab and part-bred Arab section and was also reserve in the hunter pony breeding. Judge Kay Gibb, of East Kingsford, Kingswells, Aberdeen, said Blaenllain DB's Dark Shadow was stunning and had considerable presence. “He had a nice top line and caught the eye immediately he came into the ring," said Mrs Gibb. Mrs Williamson was surprised and over the moon at what she felt was an unexpected win. “I was going to keep him as a colt, but when I smashed my wrist last year I gelded him as he would have been a bit much to control otherwise," said Mrs Williamson, a noted horse producer who shows across Scotland with her husband, Gordon, a blacksmith. Mrs Williamson expects to sell the pony as a three-year-old, once he has put been under saddle. Lenny's Results in 2010 to date has been
